Architect
Alex brings a unique set of skills to the Embarc team – with hands-on fabrication experience and an expertise in Building Information Modeling – he loves the challenge of resolving complex conditions into simple and elegant technical solutions while always remaining conscious of the contextual fabric, the clients’ needs, and the builders’ time.
Alex has 5 years international experience working at offices in both Boston and Munich; spending his postgraduate years in a multi-firm collaborative office space, working on energy-positive housing, higher-education and creative-office. During his undergraduate education in Florida, Alex worked as a craftsman apprentice working with wood, metal, concrete, composites and everything in between.
Alex is a Registered Architect in Massachusetts and is NCARB Certified. He holds a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, and received both a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science of Construction Management from the University of Florida having spent time studying abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico, Melbourne, Australia and Berlin, Germany.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys building and creating in the shops at Handshouse Studio, and spending time outdoors – hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, rollerblading, kayaking – with his girlfriend, Amanda, who is also an Architect in Boston.
