Designer
Ermelin is involved in the early design phases of many multi-family projects, from Schematic Design, including BPDA approval, through Design Development at Embarc.
Prior to joining Embarc, Ermelin was part of a small design/build firm located in Rhode Island focusing on private residences and custom millwork design.
Ermelin attended Roger Williams University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture. Originally from Haiti, Ermelin later moved to the United States bringing with him a blend of cultures and ideas that often permeates his designs. His Master’s thesis explored the concept of biophilic architecture which advocates for the integration of nature within the built environment. He believes these transforms buildings from mere shelters into something that enhances our lives, mood, mental and physical health.
In his spare time, you will find Ermelin experimenting with architectural visualization, graphic design, photography, custom millwork design or involved in an outdoor activity.
