As part of the masterplan for Allston Square, Allston Hall is the first completed building within the development. The restoration preserves the character of the existing masonry structure at the corner of Franklin and Braintree Streets while introducing a contemporary infill volume wrapped in a modern masonry envelope that reinterprets the neighborhood’s historic material fabric. The quoining on Allston Hall is echoed in the new construction through “slipping” layers of masonry at the corners, referencing the historic condition while expressing the layered nature of the building’s construction.

Allston Hall has been transformed into nine loft-style condominiums featuring soaring 12- to 18-foot ceilings, expansive windows, and refined, high-end finishes. Each unit blends the building’s industrial character with modern sophistication to create distinct and inviting living spaces.
